Playing for Keeps Movie starring Gerard Butler

Update - The movie has been retitled "Playing for Keeps".

Playing the field is an upcoming comedy movie directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) based on a script by Robbie Fox. Actor Gerard Butler got the lead role as a retired soccer pro with a weak past who tries to redeem himself by coaching his son's soccer team, only to find himself unable to resist to his players' restless and gorgeous moms. The cast also includes Uma Thurman, Jessica Biel, Dennis Quaid, Noah Lomax, James Tupper. The film should be released sometime in 2012.

Gerard Butler and Denis Quaid have been spotted on the set of Playing the field:

"Playing the field kicks off with the homecoming of George (Gerard Butler), a retired soccer pro whose glory days are behind him. Burnt out on his playboy lifestyle and bankrupted by a string of bad investments, George moves back to Virginia to reconnect with his estranged ex-wife (Jessica Biel) and neglected son (Noah Lomax). Making up for lost time, George starts to coach the boys’ soccer team. But can he keep his eyes on the goal when the bleachers are stacked with sexy soccer moms and desperate housewives?"

I prefer Gerard Butler in action movies. But the guy is definitely charming and he does fit well in all those comedy movies he signs up for. So even if I'm not much excited about the movie Playing the Field, I'll give it a try when it will come out in theaters.

By the way what do you of Gerard Butler dressed a soccer player? Handsome, nope?

Anyway, more details about the movie Playing the field soon!
